Millefiori, ‘a thousand flowers’ in Italian, is a collection dedicated to a large array of antique trading beads collected by my mama and I over the years. The thrill of hunting for rare and ancient beads amidst a sea of younger ones at Omdurman souk led to the creation of a vibrant collection imbued with a rich and fascinating history. Drawn by the story, shape and colour of each bead, we became passionately addicted.
